Summary
Blue had read a tale once about a guy named Icarus who ignored his father’s warnings of flying too close to the sun. Icarus who was smart, yet foolish at the same time, did fly towards the sun which melted his wings made out of wax then ultimately led him towards his death. And he didn’t understand it. If Icarus was smart, then why did he even attempt to reach the sun? He cannot fathom what he would even achieve by doing so.
But now, Blue clearly sees it. He thinks he can now understand Icarus just a little bit.
Because Red was as bright as the sun, and he desired to grasp even more of his light.

Summary
Blue is Kanto Champion for thirty-nine minutes.
That’s it. Technically, he’s part of the Hall of Fame, technically he’s an accepted Champion. Technically, the title was his once, so it will always be his. Technically, he can’t lose it. He just loses being the present Champion.
He also, briefly, held the Kanto record for youngest ever Pokemon League champion. That was until Red, three months younger, caught up to him.
Really, Blue hadn’t even been surprised.

Summary
Charles blinks and quietly asks, “Are you sure?”
Max nods, “Charles, when will you realize that I’ll go above and beyond for you? No matter what I might say. It’s your turn to trust me. I will always support you. You’ve been a track menace since day one and still I’m here. Because it’s you.”
Charles finally gives him the genuine smile that Max had been looking for when he stepped into the room earlier. It’s small and his dimples don’t really shine, but Max’s heart seizes in his chest nonetheless.
This thing between them was weird and complicated, but Max knew where he stood.
