    Jonathan Kent was good.

    Jonathan was pure sucrose straight from the cane. There was nothing deceiving about him, no feign of sweetness masquerading as the real thing. He was pure. An unalloyed mixture of glucose and fructose. 

    It was such a far cry from Damian who was rifled with blood from birth. 

    Damian, who shouldn't even be in the presence of something so unwitheringly good.
