“I make it my business to know who my greatest competition may be,” he replies, a smug grin on his face. “After all, you’re going to be my wingwoman some day.”
She raises an eyebrow. “Is that so?”
"Takes an ambitious woman to keep up with us men.”
“You say that like you boys make it hard. Reality is, most of you just coast on by the fuel of your natural talent until you hit a wall. Then you grab a chair and get comfortable.” Natasha leans forward slightly. “I don’t get comfortable.”
“Well, ain’t that a shame.” A slight Southern inflection comes out. “I like being comfortable. But sweetheart, I don’t coast. I speed. And you better be able to keep up.”
