    "Your pulse is racing," he continued, his thumb finding the frantic beat at the exposed skin. "Your breathing is shallow. And you're leaning into my touch, not away from it."

    When the chains were finally untangled, he didn't stop. His hands smoothed the satin down your back with possessive precision, arranging the drape just so, his fingers tracing the lines of the chains against your skin.

    The words sank into you like hooks. Because he was right. God help you, he was right.
