Summary
She wasn’t sure what she was hoping for when she found Mark Scout. Helly had imagined this a hundred different ways, what she would tell him when they finally met. Her fists against his front door, or maybe his chest. Telling him he was a coward for running away from whatever it was up here that kept them trapped in a waking nightmare. That he was weak and selfish and cruel. That he had to give him back to her.
Mark Scout offers to buy her a drink instead.

Or; Mark is a single dad with an attitude problem, and Helly is the most infuriating person he's ever met. It's really too bad that she's the only person his five-year-old daughter actually likes.
