Breaking from what happens in canon. Shen Wenlang's father requires that he have a mate if he insists on running a company outside their home of Country P. Shen Wenlang finds this requirement annoying, but decides that the best person to fit this need would be his silent shadow, Gao Tu, because Gao Tu would never ask anything of him.
This is a close to canon AU, but it starts during Gao Tu's and Shen Wen Lang's last year of high school and the focus is on Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang.
