Summary
“Suguru,” a voice that sends him into a feverish state, like it’s his body’s muscle memory, “holding my hand after telling me we can’t be friends? How forward.”
Suguru turns on his stool and stares, heart all broken open. He’s too tipsy and filled with too much want, all spilling out from him, something no timed smoking break can contain. When did it ever? All his careful lies, all the rules he has lived by, tumble down inside him when he meets Gojo Satoru’s eyes again for the first time in almost two years. It feels like the first breath he has taken in a very very long time.
“Oh,” Suguru manages, vision swimming with cerulean and snow white, “there you are.”
Gojo smiles at him, smirks at him, and a crashing wave of sense memory washes over Suguru at the sight.
“Here I am.” Gojo agrees easily, slides onto the stool in front of Suguru, eyes gleaming. He doesn’t let go of Suguru’s hand, just plays with his fingers as he leans in close, a faint scent of amaretto and something citrus. “Now,” he murmurs, taps his foot against Suguru’s gently, “what are you going to do about it this time, hmm?”

“Am I dirty?” he asked before he could think better of it.
Suguru looked him up and down with a curious expression, squinting, searching for something that could explain whatever the hell was going on. “Huh? No… you look fine to me.”
That’s not what I meant. Am I filthy, or am I pure?
“Are—are you sure?” It came out weak, brittle. He lightly unclasped the hand from Suguru’s jacket which he was still holding, leaving it just hovering over the fabric. He was scared he’d burn Suguru again, but he was more scared about being unclean. “What about my hands?”
Without reservation, Suguru gently took Satoru’s hand from the jacket and then lifted the other, still pressed to Satoru’s chest, into his own small palms. He turned his hands till his palms faced God, and Lord, did they burn, but before he could pull back, Suguru held them firmly, thumbs brushing over the lines and grooves of his palms, steady, careful, unflinching.
“All clean, ‘Toru. I promise. See?”
Satoru did not believe him.
Or, Satoru wrestles with God, the Bible, and the slow, undeniable realization that he is in love with his best friend, Suguru.

Suguru shifts, leans in. His breath is warm when it ghosts over Satoru’s lips. “C’mere,” he murmurs, voice low. Satoru doesn’t resist when Suguru cups his jaw, tilting his chin up. “Open,” Suguru says, and Satoru obeys, parting his lips without question. A thumb runs over his bottom lip, presses down just slightly, and then Suguru exhales, slow and heavy, shotgunning the smoke into Satoru’s waiting mouth.
Satoru’s head spins. The taste of smoke and Suguru fills him at the same time, thick and dizzying. Suguru doesn’t pull back. Instead, he takes another hit, then brings Satoru in even closer—until their lips brush, until the exchange of smoke turns into something deeper. The kiss is slow at first, thick with the taste of weed and Diet Pepsi. Then it gets messier, tongues meeting, lips parting, little gasps slipping out between breaths.
His hand finds Satoru’s jaw again, fingers pressing against his skin. Then he pulls back slightly, just enough to murmur, “One more.” Satoru obeys again, and Suguru spits into his mouth. Satoru shudders, but he swallows. Suguru watches him do it, eyes half-lidded, lips curling into something smug.

Summary
So Suguru’s moving to kiss him— big deal. His breath smells like alcohol, and Satoru should find it gross but he doesn’t. Suguru turns his chin just slowly enough for Satoru to change his mind, but all Satoru does it comply, letting Suguru’s hand guide him towards him with mischief in his eyes and a small smile, and it’s just not a big deal, they’re just fucking around: Satoru feels fully confident about the lightheartedness of this moment right up until the very second Suguru slots their lips together.

Or: One kiss is all it takes to make the dam crumble, to make Satoru ache for things he doesn't understand. All he craves is to keep taking pleasure from Suguru, and he can't seem to put together why Suguru's indulging him.

Suguru dead-eyes him across the table.
“Please listen to me, man.” Satoru says.
“No.” Suguru responds in that long suffering way that means he’s going to listen to Satoru but he’s gonna be pissy about it first. “It’s, fucking, 7AM.” Suguru adds. Suguru is not a morning person. It’s why Satoru went and bought the fancy coffee Suguru likes and breakfast sandwiches and red bean buns. He had to go to the bakery across town to get those.
“It’s so important.” Satoru tells him.
“Your opening gambit at 7-fucking-AM was ‘say I’ve gotten into anal play lately, why do I leak cum before I cum?’” Suguru says with a glare.
“Yeah.” Satoru says.
Suguru glares even harder.
“Well, you could answer me at least.” Satoru huffs, crossing his arms over his chest.
“I hope you fall off a bridge and die.” Suguru tells him, but he’s unwrapping a breakfast sandwich and pulling the lid off one of the cups of coffee, so.
“I hope you do too.” Satoru says amicably, taking a seat. He pushes some napkins toward Suguru and switches out the breakfast sandwich. Suguru likes the ones with avocado better. “So why do I?”
