Summary
When Dean finds himself having forgotten everything, even his own name, for some reason one thing remains – Cas is his boyfriend. He could not be more convinced of that. Sam thinks this is hilarious and it's even more funny to him to leave Dean alone with Cas while he tries to figure out how to reverse Deans amnesia. Cas however is not as amused, even less so when Dean tries to have sex with him and succeeds.

It’s not that Dean wants to be unmated.
Dean does want to be caught, someday. He wants his own mark, his own pups, he wants to smell their unpresented scents mixed in with the smell of mate and home, he wants to build his nest big enough they can all curl together — shifted or not — to know without a doubt that he is loved and wanted.
Dean wants.
Dean also needs to get his fucking shit together.
He shakes his head, trying to dispel the melancholy that has been getting worse the last year, ever since he participated in a particular chase in Kansas, when he had gone to visit the Novak pack. It had been the one and only time Dean had caught a scent that made him almost trip, something salty and dark that he hasn't forgotten even a year later. And he hasn’t caught even a hint of it again, hadn’t even got more than a fleeting taste that day either.
Man, since then Dean has been feeling his unmarked flesh more and more acutely. But he still runs, because he likes it. And he does hope that someday something changes.
