Summary
Kaveh just wanted to finish his architectural projects, pay off his debts, and maybe enjoy some alcohol without someone ruining his day.
Instead, he’s getting interrogated by an amateur kidnapper who won’t take no for an answer, playing chess with the same amateur who definitely has ulterior motives, and realizing that, maybe, he’s stumbled headfirst into a conspiracy way above his pay grade.
Oh, and the not-so-amateur kidnapper? He’s everywhere.
(Or: Kaveh makes one wrong turn and ends up accidentally kidnapped. Somehow, it's less stressful than dealing with his clients.)

They’re dating now—in a relationship, something more intimate than they were before. That means Kaveh can have these thoughts now, he can want these things. But does Alhaitham want these things?
Kaveh doesn’t know how to find the answers to his questions, he doesn’t think he could ask even if he planned to. Things like this never go over well with them. So Kaveh usually avoids asking all together, it’s easier to wait it out and watch.

Alhaitham stares at the note. It’s still stuck on the lunchbox Kaveh uses for him. His handwriting is beautiful still, because there was no way Kaveh would be caught dead with hideous handwriting. It was a recent note Kaveh left, and Alhaitham doesn’t have the heart to throw it out. So he leaves it stuck on the cabinet.
He leaves it with all the other notes he’s been keeping since Kaveh moved out.
I’m making falafel tonight, so you better come home.
I spent a lot of time on this, so you better appreciate it.
Come home early tonight, I’m planning on making desserts.
