Jimin looked up, his crescent eyes shimmering with an open, defenseless affection that always made Jeongguk's throat tighten. A soft, petal-pink blush crept up his cheeks, his plump, full lips parting slightly. "Just waiting for you, hyung," he whispered, leaning his face directly into the large, heavily veined hand Jeongguk raised to cup his jaw.

Summary
The year is 1926.

The two couples have departed from their homeland, and are ready to start their lives over. However, upon arriving, Jimin and Jungkook's respective partners run off with each other and cannot be found, leaving Jimin destitute and alone in this unfamiliar land. Feeling responsible for Jimin, Jungkook suggests something utterly scandalous: a fake marriage.
Alone together in this strange, hot, and dusty land, they try to build themselves a good life, even if it is rooted in pretense.

“You really don’t know when to stop, do you?” Jeongguk murmured low, his voice deceptively calm. His fingers slid higher, skimming just under the hem of Jimin's shirt, resting flat against his bare stomach.
Jimin just hummed, tipping his head a little to the side, as though he was considering it. “Why would I stop when it’s finally getting good?” he replied smoothly, even though his own pulse was hammering against his throat.
He felt more than heard the growl Jeongguk gave in response, and before he could make another snide remark, Jeongguk's hand slipped lower, palm flattening against the front of his jeans, fingers pressing just enough to make his breath catch in his chest.
“I should make you stand here and take it,” Jeongguk said, the words spoken against his neck now, lips barely brushing his skin. “Right here, in front of everyone. You wanted the attention, didn’t you?”
OR: Jimin tags along with Jungkook to the bar, and Jeongguk teaches Jimin the meaning of patience and lets him be a pillow princess.
