Michael Kaiser is used to attention, pressure, and control on the field—not standing in a quiet coffee shop in disguise, completely fumbling an interaction with a barista who clearly thinks he’s just a weird regular.
Isagi Yoichi is just trying to do his job, mildly unsettled by the suspiciously tall customer who keeps showing up, acting strange, and treating a simple coffee order like it’s some kind of test.
Somehow, every visit gets a little worse, a little weirder, and a lot more confusing—for both of them.

Isagi’s so exhausted from hours of metavision and running up and down the field and he just wants to go home to his nice, soft bed in his quiet apartment and not have to deal with any more boisterous Germans, and the excuse leaves his mouth before he can really register it-
“I can’t drink, I’m pregnant,” he says, shaking Gesner’s arm off of him. He rubs at his eyes, letting out an exhausted sigh and zipping up his bag. Kaiser spits out his drink and Ness falls over onto his side like a possum playing dead and doesn’t so much as twitch. Gesner watches Isagi sling his bag over his arm, his mouth gaping.
“See you guys tomorrow,” he murmurs, wondering why everyone is looking at him funny, and he leaves through the locker room doors with an exhausted slump to his steps.
