I LOVE THIS STORY SO MUCH! I love Phoenix getting a chance to break down, it was so good and valid without being dramatic. I really liked him blowing up at Edgeworth but Edgeworth still being there for him and them working it out. I really loved that you actually acknowledged that Maya would be going through it too and included her having that nightmare, I really loved the comfort and the rushed drive, I loved Wrightworth cuddling and barely even acknowleging it bc they’re just too exhausted (I really liked that dialogue from Edgeworth btw) AND OH MY GOD THE HUG AND PHOENIX’ INTROSPECTION BEFORE WHERE HES DEBATING WHETHER TO ASK FOR ONE OR NOT IS EVERYTHING IVE EVER WANTED! I really really loved the conversation they had about Edgeworth leaving—I don’t think it’s fair for people to act as if Edgeworth is completely in the wrong for his decision and I do think there’s valid reasons he did that. I think it’s really interesting (and likely canon) to look at it from the perspective of him trying not to drag Phoenix down with him and I love that he verbalized that to Phoenix and that Phoenix acknowledged his point while not immediately rushing to apologize for ever being angry lmao. Just AHHH this is definitely my favorite post2-4 fic I’ve ever read, and DEFINITELY up there for one of my fav AA fics in general!

There’s too many things I’m loving about this one so I’m just gonna start commenting as they come up, I hope that’s okay. This dialogue is really good—it feels real, if that makes sense? Like the conversation flows naturally. Edgeworth wanting to go through his old case files is also just straight-up canon, don’t play with me, but I love Phoenix immediately seeing his point and offering to help (I mean, of course he’d offer; he’s Phoenix). I love Edgeworth being nervous about missing something but then having the internal thought thay Phoenix is the best person to be doing this because he’s always able to catch the little weird things. I love them both being so diligent (Phoenix is being so diligent because he knows this is important! To Edgeworth but also just in general) and I love that bc Phoenix is helping him, Miles chooses to stop at a decent time so that Phoenix doesn’t get overworked.
Oh I also loved the scattered comments so far about them being a team! When Phoenix called them a team and said Lana was right, and Edgeworth’s introspection about them working the case together—AHH! Love it
