Luke was sixteen when it happened.
They were at a party and Luke was pretty new to being allowed out to parties, really. And even that time he'd only been allowed to go because Ashton was going to be designated driver, which meant he couldn't drink. Luke felt pretty shitty because of this; it was his fault after all. Mikey and Cal's parents would have probably let them get a taxi or something. But not Liz Hemmings.
So Ash was alcohol free and Luke most definitely wasn't.//Something happened and Luke wants to fix it

Summary
By the time that Ashton Irwin is twenty-seven years old, he's already a widower and a father of three. After his third nanny quits on him, he comes to the conclusion that life in general doesn't seem to like him very much—that is, until his luck turns around when he discovers a particular nanny by the name of Luke H.
The question now is, can a twenty-two year old man with mile-long legs and a smile made of gold really be the super nanny that Ashton needs?

Summary
Five years ago, Ashton Irwin vanished from 5 Seconds of Summer's radar without a trace. After five years and a string of unsuccessful drummers, Luke suggests that they track down Ashton and get him to give them another shot. Luke expected Ashton to put up a struggle. The last thing Luke expected? Ashton with twin children.
It'll take awhile to rebuild what they once had, but that's a challenge Luke--and Ashton--are willing to take.

Ashton stood there gaping, the girl from before braced on his hip. “Luke,” he said weakly. “Oh. Okay. What are you doing here?”
“Looking for you. Then I met this lovely lady.”
“Daddy, whossat?” the little girl asked, burying her face in Ashton’s sleeve.
“Daddy?”
“You’d better come in,” Ashton sighed and stepped aside. “This could take a while.”

“Michael said you’re the best guy on this team. That you’re our biggest competition. He said that you’ve won every single event you’ve competed in since you got to high school,” Luke replied, his voice dropping lower as he spoke.
Ashton didn’t know how to respond, so he didn’t. All of it was technically true, although he would argue differently about being the biggest competition. There were plenty of events he wasn’t competing in.
“But he failed to mention how hot you were.”
or, ashton doesn’t get involved in relationships during swim season because they’re distracting and luke hemmings might just change that.
