Summary
Throughout the entirety of his career, Taehyung had never failed a contract assassination.
He was one of the underworld’s most feared assassins, able to eliminate targets without any mistakes or traces.
Then he gets assigned to kill Jeon Jungkook.
The Jeon was the youngest chaebol heir in the country and was meant to be but another tick on his list. Instead, Taehyung stumbles across a man who was aware of his arrival and was entirely unfazed by him. The same man manages to break down the walls he had carefully built over years in just one night.

Summary
Jungkook knows exactly what people become when they smell weakness.
He sees it in the ring, in school hallways, behind café counters, in boys who travel in packs and call cruelty boredom. He survives by keeping his head down, his fists up, and his future small.
Taehyung survives differently.
Quiet. Brilliant. Watchful.
He looks harmless right up until the moment he isn’t.

Summary
Omega Taehyung doesn't settle down, despite his family's efforts. He normally resorts to hit-and-run: disappearing from one-night-stands before the night settles, setting clear boundaries before the alpha can even think of a second date. When his mother urges him to go on yet another set-up date, he waits in a café, twirling a strand of hair as he waits.
And then Jungkook appears — a green flag alpha, carrying with him the scent of fresh rain and warm moss, igniting a feeling that Taehyung tries to ignore. But then he wakes up to strong arms holding him close, breaking his own rules and from there on he tries his best to deny whatever that night was.

Summary
“You’ve been distracting me all day.”
Taehyung’s pulse kicks up. “What?”
“In the OR,” Jungkook says, gaze dropping briefly to his mouth. “The way you move. The way you focus.”
—
Taehyung is a fifth-year surgical resident which means he is tired, overcaffeinated, clinically competent and usually one intern mistake away from committing a felony with a clipboard.
Jeon Jungkook is worse.
He is reckless, arrogant, annoyingly brilliant and far too calm in emergencies for someone Taehyung would personally like to see humbled by a chart.
Their rivalry has become part of the hospital routine by now: rounds, surgeries, stale coffee, Jungkook saying something infuriatingly accurate and Taehyung pretending his blood pressure is a professional concern.
It should be simple but it isn't because Jungkook keeps standing too close, looking too long and turning every argument into something Taehyung refuses to diagnose, mostly because the obvious answer would be humiliating.
—
or: Taehyung is excellent with scalpels and terrible with emotional honesty; Jungkook only looks like trouble until he becomes the steadiest thing in the room.
