Summary
Eight years after the Battle of Hogwarts, peace has finally settled over the wizarding world, but some stories refuse to stay in the past.
Hermione Granger has built a life defined by logic rather than legend. As a legal advisor for the Ministry of Magic, she spends her days rewriting outdated laws and untangling complicated cases. Draco Malfoy, now an Auror, has spent years chasing dark wizards, determined to prove that redemption is earned, not given.
When a Ministry project forces them to work together, old assumptions slowly give way to reluctant trust, late nights, and conversations that become the best part of their days.
Some stories are meant to be hidden even if it's the reality.
Meanwhile, the wizarding world eagerly awaits the newest novel from the anonymous bestselling author known only as Seraphine. But as each chapter is released, Draco begins noticing unsettling similarities between the story and his own life.
Coincidence can only explain so much.
As fiction and reality begin to blur, one carefully guarded secret threatens to change everything. Because sometimes the greatest love stories aren't imagined, they're lived before they're ever written.

Summary
Her jaw tightened. Ten years. Bloody ten years, and they’d never talked about it.
“Look, Draco-” He scoffed and heat flared in her chest. “Will you bloody look at me?” she snapped.
He turned then, hands braced on the counter, pinning her with a stormy glare that felt sharp enough to bruise. She forced herself not to look anywhere but his face.
“We both know we couldn’t stay in each other’s lives,” she said calmly. “Not with Ron and Astoria-”
“And how did that turn out for you, Hermione?”
The words hit like a slap. She recoiled, spine snapping straight.
“I warned you,” he said, quieter now, but worse for it. “I told you. You don’t listen. That’s your issue, you think you know better than everyone.”
“It was for the best,” she said, the words automatic. Reflex. A lie polished smooth with overuse.
“For the best?” His mouth twisted. “I’m divorced. And you walked in on your husband fucking a bint from Archives.”
A punch to the gut would have hurt less.
