Lars can feel his cheeks heat, and he squeezes his eyes shut for a moment. He looks at the ceiling, and then back at Casey. He tries not to linger too much on Casey’s legs, which are usually bundled up in jeans or sweatpants, even when Casey is asleep. (They’re muscular. And defined. But they’re slimmer than Lars’s, and he could probably even wrap his hands around them and almost reach across. That thought puts a weird feeling in his stomach.)
“Aren’t you cold?” Lars asks. He thinks his voice is sort of high. He stands up, goes to the thermostat, turns it up a few degrees. Casey is always cold.

The original plan was to brainstorm ways he could catch Rocky off guard, shake him up a bit, and make him regret all those times he called Grace his plaything by using him instead. But he doubts that writing IDEAS FOR DOMMING ROCKY at the top would go over well with Rocky if he found it, and he absolutely would find it some way or another. Grace can hear the chirping of his laughter now.
