Back to the point, Eddie let it slip to Buck. Buck was showing her a video that was posted earlier of Spiderwoman saving a pedestrian from almost being hit by a car and Eddie’s mouth took on a mind of its own. Maybe she had too many beers.
Now Buck was laughing at her, even if she says she isn’t, and Eddie is embarrassed. Her brain really had to go with the masked superhero as her first newly out crush, seriously? It couldn’t have picked something more normal like the barista at their favorite coffee shop or something.

The door starts creaking open. Eddie barely has time to pretend he wasn’t watching it when Buck steps out in…
So not clothes, but not a towel either. He can’t decide if his prayers were half answered or if he was actually being cursed. Maybe he did believe in God.
Buck steps out of the bathroom in a robe that was definitely not meant for a man his size. A white, fluffy robe that barely came down to mid thigh and was slightly open, giving Eddie a nice preview of his chest. Soft hairs peaked out from it.
Eddie’s mouth was dry, and maybe open slightly. He was oogling, he’s very aware of that. Drinking in the sight of his arguably huge best friend in this tiny fucking robe. Okay, definitely cursed.

Summary
“BUCKKKKK!” Theo comes racing into the house, skidding to a stop right in front of Buck. He’s breathing heavy, eyes wild with excitement. “Look!” He screams again, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
Buck looks down at Theo and finally takes in exactly what has Theo vibrating to such an extreme. The outfit Buck had put him in before he left the house has now been completely replaced with… a spider-man costume. His kid is in the living room, smiling wider than Buck has ever seen, wearing a spider-man suit.
“Wait!” Theo looks panicked, waving his arms around, “the mask!”
Eddie had at some point made his way into the living room and was standing by the entry way with a warm smile on his face. Theo turns around and runs to him, grabbing the mask from where Eddie had it in his hand and pulling it on.
“Okay,” Theo nods, “good.” He faces Buck again and now Buck is faced with the image of a mini spider-man. He can be really normal about this.

Eddie sighs, rubbing a hand on his forehead. “Okay Buck. You’re spider-man, and I’m… something equally ridiculous.”
“Eddie. Dude. I am spider-man,” Buck says, taking a step closer. That distance between them was growing smaller and smaller. What happens when they run out of room?
“Prove it.” Eddie juts his chin out.
Buck waves a hand toward the mask he was still clutching, like that was enough, like you couldn’t buy one at any halloween store.
“That proves nothing,” Eddie says.
“Okay, um,” Buck looks around before holding a hand out and shooting a web right onto Eddie’s wall.
Eddie follows the movement with wide eyes, his brain already trying hard to come up with a way that Buck could do that without being spider-man. He was really struggling to do so, considering he can see that there is nothing wrapped around Buck’s wrist. Eddie looks between Buck’s arm and the wall, back and forth. Back and forth.
Okay, that proves something.
