It made perfect sense considering the amount of times Nox had come to the door complaining and wailing about the noise level. No way the walls were that thin."

Chase Hollow has an instrument store to help with, a part-time babysitting gig, an image to upkeep, and a world to impress. Not to mention the pretentious, mean-spirited neighbor who works at the bookstore just next door. He's hard to get away from, as well as the exact cause of plenty of workplace disasters.Point is, Chase is going through a lot.
Luckily, he's able to escape the woes of life through the site that is TalkItOut, an anonymous website to vent, talk about your day, brag about your Nobel Peace Prize, whatever. But could the person on the other side of the screen be someone he knows in real life?

Deacon's horse movie in THEATERS!
Nothing's been the same since all of the Hollow family's money exploded, and now Ralph has to sell his horse farm to the Creditcard siblings, two notorious young bazillionaires who make it their duty to turn everything into an evil boarding school. There's no hope for these sad, pathetic horses... UNTIL NOW!

Callum hesitated before turning the sketchbook around, and holding it out to Harrow. Harrow bent down, squinting slightly at the drawing. It was of his side profile, looking completely crooked and disproportionate, but it was still recognizable as his. So by six-year-old standards, it was of amazing quality.
“Is that me?” He asked with a wide smile. Callum’s face fell, thinking Harrow’s question meant he’d done a poor job depicting him. He pulled his sketchbook back and turned his face away, about to walk off. Harrow rushed to fix his mistake. “No, no! It’s nice.”
Callum turned back to him, checking to see if he was genuine. “It’s so nice!” Harrow exclaimed, thinking he’d gotten the situation under control. He held his hands out for the drawing, and Callum gave it to him.
But then Sarai looked over his shoulder–and absolutely burst out laughing.

Chase shoves an old key in the lock of the broom closet door that he got from a box of Grandpa Ralph’s estate sale finds. He thought the worst that could happen was it gets stuck. Instead, the door creaks open to reveal a city street in 1890 and a dark-haired boy in a pickle. He thinks he can just refuse Chase’s offers of help, walk out of the Hollow house and return to his dismal life, never seeing the sunny boy who lives on the other side of a sometimes-closet door again. Of course, though, this is Chase Hollow. (He has no idea what he’s in for.)

Reki groaned from his place on the floor. The fan in front of him reverberated the noise. Langa shoved him, a little. Sweat was soaking through their shirts, but their point of contact was still the pleasant type of warm.
Reki had ditched his binder by now, opting for his baggiest shirt and a sports bra. Unfortunately, Langa did not have the luxury of a baggy shirt. In fact, he was donning a long sleeved turtleneck. Because checking the weather was an allergy, apparently.
“Oh my god, dude,” Reki finally gave in, heaving himself up. He then determined walking was too much work and fell back to the floor, crawling to his dresser instead.
A t-shirt smacked Langa in the face. He fell to the floor dramatically, as though Reki had shot the shirt at him with a cannon. Langa made a sad little noise.
Apparently, Langa found it a completely normal idea to try and change while still laying on the floor. He shimmied in place. Reki only blinked at him.
“Langa.”
Or: Langa starts to borrow Reki's clothes. It spirals from there.
