“What if we had our own Adam?” Crowley finally suggests. Aziraphale’s stomach lightens with bubbles in the way he’s learned to love so much. “Not the same way, obviously. Something tells me it’d be a struggle to convince you to steal a baby.”
A baby.
“Is that what you want, Crowley?” Aziraphale asks. “You want a baby?”
Crowley’s beat of silence is answer enough, and it all clicks into place for him in that moment. Aziraphale understands.
“You want our baby,” he says, more statement than question this time.
