Adam shrugs. “If I were in your place, probably yes. But I’m not, so I can only tell you what I think from where I’m standing.”
“I thought I’d be better at this by now,” Ronan murmurs. He digs the heels of his hands into his eyes until they hurt. He keeps digging, hoping it would wring out all the sleep and the dreams, hoping every creature that wanted to leap out with ill intent seeped out of his eyes and nose like his nightwash. “I want to be better at this.”
