Kazuya is not easily surprised.
He could usually predict what would happen in both his life and on the field. He had always been a very calculating person like that.
But it was simply impossible to predict the unpredictable.
So when Kazuya had first seen Sawamura's face at practice that morning of meeting the Swallows' new recruits, he had been surprised.

Summary
Sawamura Eijun has regrets like everyone else. Even though he's older and has to fight his own demons, he still respects his ideals, still respects himself. That's why he continues to pitch like never before, even though he's far away from the country where he was born, far away from the people he once thought were important.
In his last game of the season, when the ball he pitches is hit in his face by the cleanup, the last thing he expects is to wake up in some random part of Japan.“Are you really my brother?! No! Wait a minute! How can I have an OLDER brother in the first place?!”
Eijun really wants to shove a sock in his past self's mouth to shut him up.
Was I that irritating? I didn't remember it like that...
“Shut up, Boke! I've been looking for you for a long time!”

“Two rolls of bread please, if it’s freshly baked that would be great!”
Eijun’s head perked up from behind the oven at the sound of a familiar voice, but he had been too caught up with both baking a fresh set and getting lost in his thoughts to truly recognize it. Flour covered his cheeks and apron as he quickly ran over to begin wrapping the rolls. “Coming right up, good ser!”
“I’m no ser, boy.” The voice spoke rather sharply with a humorous hint to it. “The appropriate term would be ‘Your Majesty’, Sa-wa-mu-ra~.”
Oh, fantastic. Eijun winced, head turning so slowly, he was sure the creaks of his bones were audible. “M-Miyuki Kazuya?!”

Summary
Eijun wants to drop hints that he likes Miyuki before confessing. Miyuki is blissfully unaware.
First, he must drop hints. Miyuki is pretty observant, so that shouldn’t be hard, right? Then, he must feel out Miyuki’s reactions to all of this. If Miyuki seems receptive, then he’ll go in with the final step: the actual confession. And then, Miyuki will be Eijun’s boyfriend and catch for him whenever he asks because that’s what a good boyfriend does!
It’s a foolproof plan, really.

Summary
Sawamura Eijun knows who Miyuki Kazuya is - he's cute, he's the catcher of their school's baseball team, and he's good - but he doesn't really know Kazuya outside of that. They get paired together for a school project, much to Eijun's delight, and he gets the opportunity to know him better. Around the same time, he gets a text from a stranger with an unknown number and tries to make a new friend out of it.
Turns out, this unknown number isn't quite a stranger.
A College+Wrong Number AU where they aren't actually strangers... just idiots that take far, far too long to figure that bit of information out.
