The paved imbalance that is the foundation of his headspace and the people it stems from. Dabi has contributed to him and now Hawks is seeing a version of himself that feels so right it challenges all he knows. Never have they ever had to bother about putting a facade around one another. The times they were alone together did the mask just come off. It was like Dabi just was for Hawks as were they for each other.

It turned out that was another thing he was wrong about. Keigo wasn’t a Dom, but a Sub. Keigo had been nervous to tell Touya, as most–including Touya–had incorrectly assumed he was a Dom. He had been less nervous to tell Touya he was trans. Keigo had originally assumed Touya was a Sub, something Touya was familiar with. He had inherited the majority of his mother's softer features, along with his white hair which had people assuming he was a Sub at first glance from his looks alone. They both had the same fear, just in completely opposite ways. Touya felt like he hit the jackpot and as their dynamic grew, he knew it was just the beginning. His beautiful, perfect, willing and obedient Keigo.
Didn’t mean he wasn’t a fucking brat.

There was a long, long pause after he said that. Kyo was pretty sure even Sukaka looked up from her desk to stare at Hawks, whose face was fascinating to watch crumple as he slowly realized what he’d said.
“Oh my god,” he muttered. “I said that out loud, didn’t I?”
“Holy shit, boss,” Osa said blankly, eyes wide in shock.
Hawks really likes Dabi's staples, and this causes a few more problems than you'd expect.
Alternatively; 5 times people noticed something was off about Hawks, and 2 times they realized Hawks just liked shiny things.

Summary
After some persuasion, Hawks and Dabi develop a mutually beneficial, mutually detrimental agreement to sleep together as they please. Despite the hatred they feel for each other, it's that very hatred that makes them able to be their most authentic selves around each other. Until it becomes their downfall.
(A character study of the emotional and mental powerplay between these two characters, canon-inspired events but non-canon timeline, read at your own discretion please. Summary
Shouto sits up in the bed to watch him as he slips into the hallway, hands clutching the stuffie on his lap. His blanket is baby pink fleece, well worn in from frequent washing, and every time he looks at the thing, Touya sees five-year-old Shouto clinging to it as their father tried to take it from him, shouting angrily.
When he steps back into his own room, Touya expects to see Shouto still sitting up and waiting for him.
He’s lying down again, curled up against Keigo’s chest. Keigo’s hand rubs his back in slow passes, almost covering the narrow width of Shouto’s body. They’re both quiet, just even breathing and the rustle of bedding disturbing the quiet stillness. Touya stands in the doorway, watching with a sudden, fluttering tightness in his chest; the way his little brother turns his face into Keigo’s shoulder and sighs drowsily.

Touya had filed for emergency custody of Shouto just over a year ago, immediately after removing him from the house in a panic, and Shouto had been officially under his care for the foreseeable future. The custody wasn’t temporary anymore.
