Summary
"But Seonghwa knew there was something good in their future. He trusted the stars. For once, he slid one hand into Hongjoong’s hair, and tugged at a piece of hair so the ringmaster would look at him.
“Do you trust me, Captain?” he asked with a soft voice.
“If it’s you, I do.”
- Hongjoong and Seonghwa are itinerants in a circus, and Seonghwa doesn't know if he should let his feelings for Hongjoong known or if he should bury them deep inside.

Summary
Hongjoong hates it when people refer to him by a nickname. The casual ‘Hongjoongie’ was fine, but not ‘Joongie’ or ‘Hongie’. And especially not those corny ones like ‘honey’ or ‘sweetie’. Ew.
The only person that can get away with it is his mother, and hers was just ‘Joongie’. Not even ‘my baby’ or ‘cutie-patootie’.
Just like he despises being given nicknames, he also doesn’t like using pet names when addressing others. It’s just a personal preference, nothing against the other person.
However, all that rang true until he met Park Seonghwa.

Summary
Captain Kim Hongjoong had spent his childhood in the abusive grasp of his tyrant father, until he planned his own escape and pulled together a mismatched crew with a bond thicker than blood. When he brings a prisoner on board, the last thing he expects is for the newcomer to infiltrate that bond, and he watches as the control begins to slip through his fingers.
Kim Hongjoong knows how it feels to hate, and he uses it to avoid feeling anything else.
Park Seonghwa hadn’t been in control of his own life in a long time, so when he is taken prisoner by a new crew of pirates, he is resigned to the cruelty of their captain. Hatred is comfortable, and two can play at that game. However, the rest of the crew is kinder to him, and he feels his walls begin to lower despite the mounting tensions between himself and the captain.
Park Seonghwa knows how it feels to love, and he never wants to feel that weak again.
