Summary
First Knock to Forever
Maybe their lives were always meant to be tangled. Maybe Joshua—devoted but exhausted single dad—and Jeonghan—who had everything but never really enough—were always meant to find their way to each other.
Seungkwan certainly thought so. (Vernon and his parents thought so too.) Not that his dad and Hannie didn't.
"No, Seungkwan, Hannie cannot buy you the entire cake shop. And Jeonghan, don’t even think about it."
Or—
The author wrote single dad Joshua and flirty, soft Jeonghan because she had to. She needed kid Seungkwan in her life.

Summary
She doesn’t really know why she’s suddenly so interested in someone when she hasn’t had a sincere interest in someone for a really long time, and was kind of okay with it.
Yes, Jisoo is really pretty. That’s one reason, she thinks. Jisoo looks really kind, but well, she doesn’t really know about that. She seems funny too, but again, Jeonghan doesn’t really know her. She just can’t explain why she’s so attracted to her.
Maybe because Jisoo is the only girl who isn’t running after her.

Summary
"Eternal devotion binds me to you, through shadow and flame," Jeonghan recited, eighteen, summer heat thick and unrelenting in the tiny off-campus practice room, mirrors fogged from their exertion as they ran lines for the lead roles they'd snagged in the department play.
Jisoo only blinked as Jeonghan finished his dialogue delivery, color rising in his cheeks. He laughed softly, nudging Jeonghan's shoulder. "Show-off. Okay, fine, do it again—but slower this time. Make me believe it."
Exile ends at a pub counter: fury's slap, a wedding ghost yielding to mutual fall.
