“Well, if you’d let me get to it,” Aki huffs, a tinge of irritation colouring his tone. He stands up, shelving his book before plopping himself down across from Shinjiro.
“I wanted to try it.”
Shinjiro’s first thought is quick. Something along the lines of There’s no way he’s serious.
“Good luck finding a partner.” he scoffs, decidedly switching his attention back to the neglected periodical, flipping the page.
Akihiko, however, presses on. His finger reaches into the bending spine of the glossy paper, tipping it down. “Are you saying you're not interested?”
"Me?"
Akihiko hears about an unconventional leg workout. Naturally, he's inclined to try it.

“Since you’re celebrating, do you promise you won’t arrest me again tonight, Commander?”
There were three CCs at the booth now, but Fox knew it was him who was being addressed. The scorn of the ‘Commander’ was evidence enough. He made eye contact with the offending trooper. An ARC. His eyes drifted to the tattoo of a ‘5’ on his temple. Fives. Fox had heard of him, Cody had told him bits and pieces about Umbara, that he was a hero. He didn’t remember arresting him, but that certainly didn’t mean he hadn’t done so.
As the lead Commander of the Coruscant Guard in a never-ending galactic war, Fox is almost as despised by his brothers on the frontlines as he is by civilians on Coruscant. Fives does nothing to dispel that notion.
