But, being a commoner, Dunk was never educated on what his marks truly mean. Commoners aren't expected to meet their soulbound, so why waist time educating them on the subject.
After the death of his ser, Dunk continues toward the tournament in hopes of finding glory as a knight. He finds a lot more than glory.
