Summary
Rumors. People have been telling them to this day, putting together the weirdest stories, just to entertain others and themselves. However, most of the time those rumors turn out to be nothing but contrived.
Despite most of them being fake, there was one certain rumor, a legend you could almost say, that had been told by the residents of the small island Réunion near Madagascar, for decades.
It was the legend of the pirate named Martín Berrote.

Summary
The blond’s hands are raised up above his head, slowly, like a trail of blood from an open wound, blue eyes set on him from the ground, footsteps cautiously making their way towards Simon’s bed ladder. Simon’s knees come to curl in towards his stomach, his arm going to wrap itself securely around his legs, only for the sensation to never reach them. A quick glance to his empty shoulder, and Simon looks towards the top of the bunk, blinking away the burning in his eyes.
Ryland is approaching him like he’s a rabid dog, and, for once, Simon wishes someone didn’t see him as one that bites.
Simon wishes that he didn’t feel like a ghost walking around in his own skin, anymore. He was so, so tired.
“I’m not an animal,” Simon huffs out, turning his face towards the other human, and Ryland vaguely notes the fact that, in the light, one of his eyes looks a deep, crimson red.
“I didn’t mean to-”
“I know. Nobody ever does.”
OR
Simon has a nightmare, and Ryland has a perfect idea on how to help.
