“You can’t be serious.” Adam whispered, mostly to himself. He was looking at Wymack, but Neil caught his eye at his side. He was watching Adam intently, seeming to almost know everything he was thinking.
“Very serious. All you have to do is sign and you’re mine for five years, but you’re also set. Your coach said you want to go to med school. You could save part of your stipend and any other money to put towards it. You’d have less loans, and many med schools would like to see a more ambitious application.”
“I don’t know if I can do this.” Adam said, so quietly he wasn’t sure if the others in the room would hear him. “I’ve already been accepted into Harvard. I don’t know if I’d choose Palmetto after that.”
“Does it sweeten a deal to know we are wanting to recruit Lynch as well?”

“I know this song is about me.” Remus whispered.
Sirius froze. His mouth opened, but nothing came out.
Remus’ eyes searched his. “You wrote it about us. About… everything. About how it feels like it’s burning you alive to want something you’re not supposed to. That’s me, isn’t it?”
Sirius let out a slow, shuddering breath. “Yeah.” His voice cracked. “It’s always been you.”
“You fucking idiot,” Remus muttered, blinking through the blood. “Why didn’t you just tell me?”
Sirius gave a wet, helpless laugh. “I don’t know. I think I thought… if I said it out loud, it would ruin everything.”
“It did anyway,” Remus said. But there was no venom in his tone. Just sadness.As the band finds its sound, Sirius starts to lose his footing, caught between who he was raised to be and who he’s trying to become. With every late-night jam session and almost-touch, the line between friends and something more starts to blur. But building something real with Remus means letting go of the past—and Sirius has never been good at that.

Has spent countless hours imagining the day that they do finally put it together.
The day they get to come home and put their baby to sleep in it.
A baby that they have been trying for for some unmeasureable amount of time.
A baby that was never going to come.
So Sirius stands in the room that belongs to a person who doesnt even exist, and cries over a stupid cardboard box thats never been opened.
And when Remus gets home he somehow knows exactly where to find his husband.
