Summary
Sam's voice cracked--damn it, he needed to keep it together, if he broke down now he wasn't sure he'd be able to stop--and then Natasha was placing a gentle hand on the curve of his back and Sam let her pull him in close, let the soft warm weight of her drown out the memory of blood and come and pain that he could still taste on his tongue like he was still back in that room, like he was discovering the horror of finding Steve and Bucky like that all over again, and the slow dawning realisation that this might be it: after seventy years HYDRA might have finally succeeded in tearing them apart forever.
Steve gets captured. Bucky goes in after him. Sam finds them in the aftermath.

Summary
He drifts up from unconsciousness slowly.
There's something dripping down the side of his face: blood, he thinks; hopes, mostly, that that’s all it is. The taste of it is heavy on his tongue, the undersides of his teeth, his lips. Most of it isn't his own, but everything hurts. He doesn't think about the worst of it, the sharp ache between his legs; tries, instead, to figure out his surroundings through eyelids gummed shut with blood and a head still viciously pounding where they'd hit him more than once. He's face down on an uneven surface with his arm cuffed to his right ankle, his hips tilted up and his legs held apart by some kind of bar cuffed to his ankles. Naked, but that isn't unusual. They haven't let him wear clothes in months.
"So, Sergeant Barnes," a heavily accented voice says from somewhere above him, piercing through his sluggish thoughts, "We meet again."

Summary
He’s not awake, not exactly, when he feels it: a warm body pressed up against him, a hand snaking its way down his chest to rub teasingly over the line of his hip, fingertips brushing against the base of his not-quite-soft cock, stirred into hardness by the lingering memories of a few hours ago and the faint, residual ache that still lingers.
Sex with Steve has always been easy; uncomplicated.
Until it isn't.

Summary
Bucky woke up like this sometimes, his body paralyzed and his heart pounding, fighting to breathe. Looked around this same bedroom and drowned in waves of meaningless terror. He knew how to break out of it. All you had to do was wiggle your fingers and toes and stay calm. He sang the Battle-Hymn of the Republic in his head when he had to get his breathing under control. But it didn’t matter now, because he couldn’t move his fingers or his toes, and he wasn’t calm, and he wasn’t getting out of this.
