The streets of the Capital of the Empire are stalked by a horrible serial killer, a monster that strangles its victims and leaves a grisly symbol of an eye in its wake. Rich and poor, Imperial and foreigner, human and mutant, all slain alike
In the midst of this a young man named Basil Vasilakis starts a new job at the Imperial Gardens, leaving the sleepy Spire of Faraway Towne to move to the Capital. He goes there to seek his future, and to meet up with his distant friend Sunny Suzuki. Two years ago Sunny left following a tragic night of blood, pain and long hidden truths being revealed. The boy has captured his thoughts since Basil first met him.
But he leaves behind Aubrey Brocken, the fiery and quick to anger gang leader who Basil has rebuilt his relationship with over the course of those same two years. From the underground Otherworld beneath the Spires of the Empire her group has pulled a strange statue. One that has links to the queer dreams Sunny has been having of late. Summary
The horrors of Rokkenjima are over. Battler and Sayo were able to escape together without any car or boat related accidents and returned to civilization. However picking up your life, or making a new one for Sayo, is pretty hard after your whole family was murdered. And Sayo continually retreating behind the Beatrice persona has left some distance in their relationship, distance that Battler wants to bridge.

Summary
Greg Veder discovers that gaining parahuman powers doesn't magically fix his anxiety, family problems, or bad reputation. He tries to both understand his strange new abilities and grow as a person, with mixed results. Despite his many mistakes and worries, he refuses to give up on his dream of becoming someone worthy of being called a hero. With a power that depends on other capes, he knows that failure isn’t an option.
Despite having some cool powers and humor, this story focuses on conversations, self-improvement, character development, family, and teamwork, rather than fights and power-fantasy. Though written primarily from Greg's POV, it also includes frequent Interludes from a variety of non-Greg people. Geez Veder, you think the world revolves around you or something?

Summary
Vista was falling.
She was surrounded by a thin smoke, just wisps of it, more vapor than any kind of fume. It emitted a strange pale light, which was the only illumination in the wide darkness she was plunging into.
The shape of the space around her, however, was another question entirely.

Summary
The first time you see him is Day 1 of Sburbian Mythology 101.
The lecture starts in two minutes and the flow of students into the hall has slowed to a trickle, which is how you notice out of the corner of your eye a pale human in all red sauntering into the room, wearing a set of douchey shades in perplexing defiance of the torrential rainstorm that's been plaguing the city all week. In fact, you register, he seems to be the only one in the hall to not be drenched or at least somewhat wet, as if he's somehow managed to convince his clothes to ignore the godawful downpour outside.
You're about to turn back away when he stops and seizes up mid-stride, the abrupt tension in the human's posture visible even from a distance. He's looking in your direction, you realize, and though the sunglasses are in the way, you have an unshakable feeling that his eyes are staring straight at you.
