“You’re Rafael Barba. Assistant District Attorney for Manhattan,” he answered and Rafael let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. At least until Carisi smiled so wide and happy and added, “My husband.”
The words were so alien to him that he honestly couldn’t respond for a second, just kept staring at Carisi’s happy face and at the stitches in his head while he saw flashes of blood on the car window. He couldn’t imagine his expression but knew it was something less than comforting as he watched Carisi’s face fall, his eyebrows draw together.
“What?” Carisi asked finally, eyes flitting to the nurse still hovering in the corner of the room. “What’s the matter?”

After Peter's precarious position goes from bad to worse time and time again, he is left all alone with nothing but his anger and resentment at the world to keep him company. He wonders how much more he can take and whether the growing grudge between him and the Avengers will be enough to finish him off for good. Will he be able to complete his mission in time? Does he even want to anymore?

Summary

It all starts, when Shouta Aizawa finds a young boy dying on the streets. As the police rush to find the boy's attacker, Shouta suddenly finds himself in a position to care for a child who is scared, traumatized and in desperate need of a parental figure. It’s only temporary he tells himself. At least, that’s the plan.
As each new turn in the investigation continues to add complication after complication, Shouta finds himself increasingly concerned for his young charge – and unwilling to give up a responsibility he wasn’t sure he wanted in the first place.

Penelope Tamara “Poppy” Parker is doing great, at least on paper.
She’s top of her class at midtown tech, the youngest level-five dancer at her studio, a loving older sister, girlfriend to the wonderful Michelle Jones, intern at Stark Industries, and, of course, the friendly neighborhood Spider-man.
She’s got problems, of course, but so does everyone, and it’s not that bad.
Sure, it’s tricky to balance everything going on in her life, and of course she wishes that her parents and aunt and uncle were still alive, and that her last foster home hadn't been abusive, and that maybe she could get a break, like, once. But there’s nothing to be done about those things, so she doesn't dwell on it.
It could be a lot worse, and Poppy’s gotten good at managing everything without help.
But when things do get worse, maybe (maybe) it will turn out that she doesn't need to manage everything on her own, that she can, in fact, accept help sometimes.
Maybe, that help will come in the form of a certain genius-billionaire-philanthropist and his team of superhero friends/dysfunctional family.Series
