Summary
Death was a permanent sentence for most, but for the Keeper of the Underworld, it was only as permanent as he wanted it to be. All it took was a nudge from his dearest remaining friend and a 'favor' asked by a certain reincarnation and Emet-Selch was once again in the world of the living, coerced into suffering the complications of an alchemically-created, imperfect body. However, he supposed he could postpone the majority of his objections in favor of the bottle of wine he had been promised, as well as his curiosity in the tangled soul of past and future selves that belonged to the man promising.

Summary
When Hades is denied the peace of the afterlife, 'reborn' and forced to live one last miserable lifetime as a fragile mortal, he isn't certain if it's some kind of karmic punishment, or just a cosmic joke. He is no longer worthy of the title of Emet-Selch.
Bad enough to be stripped of his powers. Even worse to be living in ignominy and destitution. The absolute worst case scenario is for the Scions of the Seventh Dawn to realize he still numbers among the living. Especially one Scion in particular. If there is one person in all the worlds Hades doesn't wish to see him in such a pitiful state, it is undoubtedly G'raha Tia.
Furthermore, there are a great many secrets he and G'raha share, which will doubtless turn the Scions against them both if ever discovered. Death by Scion might be the most dignified end Hades can hope for to this pathetic excuse for existence, but he doesn't want to break G'raha's heart.
Again.

Summary
The city knows him as The Unyielding. Loud. Relentless. Impossible to knock down.
What it doesn’t know is that his heart is failing.
When a routine clash with his arch enemy, The Helmsman, turns catastrophic, The Unyielding doesn’t lose to a villain. He loses to his own body. And the only reason he survives is because the man who was supposed to finish him refuses to let him die like that.
The official story is clean. The villain escaped. The hero survived.
The truth is anything but.
As The Unyielding returns to patrol under brutal new limits, the city begins to shift around him. Threats vanish before he arrives. Fights end early. Pressure is quietly, deliberately relieved. His enemy is still out there. Watching, interfering, protecting in ways that feel dangerously personal.
Because now The Helmsman knows his weakness. And The Unyielding knows his enemy chose to save him.
An enemies-to-lovers story about pride, power, and what happens when the person who knows how to break you is the one who refuses to let you die.
