Rocky does not need the assistance of a machine for Grace’s language. It is ugly and harsh to listen to, but it’s relatively simple to learn. That, and, well—Rocky was alone for a very, very long time before he met Grace. He maybe hangs on to each word a little more than strictly necessary. Grace only needs to tell him each word once for Rocky to know it forever.

It wasn’t anything that Grace had never done before. Yet this time, Rocky felt all five of his hearts racing at its smile. Grace’s giggle was so similar to an Eridian’s. Rocky wanted to make it laugh again, to be the reason for its joy.
Such thoughts had barely begun when there was suddenly a strange physical feeling inside Rocky. It felt like something was moving, a strange buzz reverberating throughout his body. It was deeply uncomfortable and continued to increase in intensity until Rocky suddenly felt like he had to open his ventral seal right now and get something out out out. It was all so quick that Rocky could barely think about how absolutely wrong it felt.

In the back of his mind, Zoro registers the absurdity of the situation, but since meeting Luffy, his sanity has long since flown out the window, and he’s not keen on reuniting with it. He’d much rather pull Luffy into his lap and continue kissing him in between bouts of laughter. To hell with waiting, he’d already declared his loyalty to Luffy a hundred times over. Why not take it a step further?
