A HuskerDust Wild West AU
Husk nearly lost everything when he gambled his entire life in a game against Alastor, and in order to protect that which he holds most dear, he has become Alastor’s very own gunslinger—an outlaw forced to kill whoever Al tells him to, no questions asked. It’s a miserable life, but Husk has been able to keep it together by the skin of his teeth…until he meets “Angel Dust”, a courtesan at the local Velvet Saloon. Angel doesn’t care that Husk tries to push them away at every turn; their stubborn nature sees the two stuck together like glue. As their terse relationship blooms into something deeper, will Husk be able to keep Angel at arms length, or will his walls finally come crumbling down? “I don’t get it,” Husk mutters, refusing to look Alastor in the eye as he feels him shift across the room. “I fucked up a job. You hate it when I fuck up jobs.”
“That’s not my main problem with you at the moment.” Alastor morphs into form in front of the window, framed by sinister light. His eyes glow in the dark of the room. “It’s about where you wander when you think no one is looking.”
When Husk fucks up a job for Alastor, he braces himself for the consequences.
