Tails, standing in front of the bookshelf, is cradling a decorative wooden box in one arm. In his other hand, there’s a bottle of something.
It’s a grey squeeze tube with boxy white lettering. There’s something familiar about it. It takes Hayden a second to place, and then he blurts, “Fuck.”
Because it’s lube.
Or: Shane's teammates find his lube. It doesn't go the way Hayden expects.

Quicker than he can comprehend, her thumb touches the center of his forehead, and Ilya swears he can feel some part of his mind opening. He doesn't understand it, but the feeling is there, and his eyes widen at the old woman.
"But you'll dream enough to be useful," Reverend Mother finishes, stepping back and folding her hands in front of her.

Summary
After ignoring his phone in favor of getting split in two by his situationship, Shane is stranded in Boston at the start of the zombie apocalypse.
Ilya is left with nowhere to go, and Shane refuses to leave him behind. In order to survive, they have to cross the Canadian border and get to the cottage, together.
But getting to Canada is far easier said than done. When Ilya is badly injured, their road-trip becomes a race against the dead—and the infection spreading through Ilya’s leg.
