You’ve stumbled upon a dimly lit photobooth at night, the neon letters on the front spelling: “Scenery”. You could have sworn it wasn’t here the last time you walked this street…
Regardless, you walk inside, curious.
There are costumes lined from one side of the store to the other, ranging from high school girl clothing to cowgirl outfits to cat ears and a thong. Besides the weird get-ups, the normal photobooth props are littered on shelves next to a single photobooth stall. The red lighting unnerves you just a little bit, but you pull back the curtain and step inside anyway.
The words on the screen make the feeling in your stomach stronger.
“Press Scene for your deepest desires !”
But why not, right?

His knees are still bent, feet planted firmly in the grass, but he’s leaned back on the log, arms crossed tightly over his lower stomach and neck craned, head resting on the tough bark and face turned to the sky. And he’s flushed. You’ve never seen him so red, a crimson stain from his collar to his cheeks all the way to the tips of his ears. His eyes are closed but his mouth is open, panting hot breaths into the air, almost-invisible puffs billowing from his lips and dissipating in the cool breeze.
