Now, faced with the consequences of his actions, after seeing Peter at the MIT honor convocation, Tony wants to make amends and build a relationship with his estranged son. It'll take a lot of work, but Tony is willing to do all that and more. But, is it too late?

    “I don’t一” Simon’s voice is soft and broken and he hates it, he hates the fear permeating his entire body. “I don’t want you to be a hallucination.”

    Grace’s faint mumbles and a strange whistling voice die down. Then Grace says, “This is real. It’s real, and we’re getting you out. I promise.”

    Simon closes his eyes. He breathes out.

    “My name,” he says. His voice is rough with unshed tears. “My name is Simon.”

    “Nice to meet you, Simon. Hang tight. We’ll be there soon.”

    Simon is rescued from the blood ocean by a stranger who calls himself a scientist, who claims to be on his way to an alien planet called Erid. Aboard the Hail Mary, Simon has to contend with the fact that dimensional travel maybe exists, living on a space ship, and somehow surviving the struggles of deep space—all while maybe falling in love with the strange man with blue eyes.

    “That’s it, baby. Keep going.”

    All he needs is Mom’s encouragement to try again, and this time— well, after a few more times— his eyes are open. Everything around him is blurry, but it’s coming back.
    He finds Mom first. She’s right by the edge of the bed, still holding his hand as she smiles down at him. Tears are falling down her cheeks, but he guesses they’re at least happy ones now.

    There’s a man standing behind her with a hand over his mouth and the other supporting his elbow. His hair is a mess, and so are his eyes. He looks scared in a way Mom doesn’t.
    Brown hair, brown eyes, lots of uneven facial hair— he maps this image of Dad in his mind. This is Dad. There’s no doubt in his mind.

    Or; after a hard hit to the head, Peter wakes up almost a month later and can't remember a thing. He mistakenly confuses Tony and May for Mom and Dad.

    What a welcome sight. Even if this stupidly handsome man ends up being evil, or working for the C.O.I, at least he’d die looking at something good.
