Summary
And he watched Rosaria carefully as he spoke about the night he spent with Jean. He watched Rosaria's jaw tighten just the slightest as he retold their long, midnight conversation along the shore, catching up on happenings with Barbara, Lisa, Diluc, Mondstadt. He didn't miss the way Rosaria's eyebrow furrowed when he complimented the Acting Grand Master's incredible skill in heartfelt conversations. He even noticed the way Rosaria flinched when he admitted to crying in front of Jean as he lamented being unable to use the time to rekindle his very broken relationship with Diluc.
Rosaria held onto every detail, and he made sure to catch all of hers in return.

A week away from one another should not put that much strain on a friendship. Hell, it shouldn't even hurt a good enough relationship. But Mondstadt's nightly dealers of icy justice do not have the typical relationship. After all, how can you tell someone you miss them without the connotations of love tied to it?
These are the thoughts that entangle Rosaria in Kaeya's absence. So she won't say it, lest she get pricked by her own thorns... right?
