“How can ya tell that it's a big deal?” Atsumu murmurs.
Kiyoomi cocks up a furrowed brow. “Because you’re being weird,” He accuses. “Weirder than you already are, I guess. Didn’t think it was possible. Also, you look like shit,” Kiyoomi adds as an afterthought.
“I didn’t come here to get roasted, ‘Samu could’ve done that fer me if I stayed home,” Atsumu grumbles unhappily.
“Whatever. Just tell me what’s up with you. I’m worried about you,” Kiyoomi admits, softening his voice an octave. “You seem different today.”
Judging by the resolve in those storm cloud burdened eyes, Kiyoomi’s temporary expression of tenderness seems to work.
“It’s about my parents,” Atsumu finally admits, after another lapse of deafening silence. “They’re gettin’ divorced,” the bottle blond spits, as though the word is dirty. “Dad hasn’t been home since tha papers were signed last Saturday, so it’s…. it’s official. They’re really splittin’ up.”
Truly, Kiyoomi expected anything but that.
