Dick catches up with his parents, but there’s something urgent that he has to deal with.
His mother looks at him gently and chooses her words carefully, like he’s a child. “We’ve met Jason,” she says.
Dick blinks. “He’s a good kid,” He says quickly, “I don’t know what he did but he’s been through a lot, I swear once you get to know him, he’s kinder than anybody–” The words spill out. Defending Jason. Like he should have done against Bruce all those years ago. Once he starts the words keep coming like blood from an open wound.
