**ON HIATUS INDEFINITELY**
I was writing this fic a veryyyyyy long time ago and am as of now unsure if it will ever be finished, I'm very sorry if there was anyone still holding out hope for it. If the inspiration ever strikes I will finish it, but I don't know if that will happen.------------------------------
After an accident during a fight with the Galra Lance and Keith are stuck in an unfortunate situation. Secrets are revealed and friendships tested. The team just wants everything to go back to normal. Sorry for this terrible summary.
Set sometime during season one I think. Lot's of platonic bonding, relationships unknown at this point. I just like hurting my small bean Lance, I'm sorry.

Summary
Whenever he slept, the boy was there.
Dreammates shared dreams when they happened to both be asleep at the same time, of course. The elders said the tides of dreams were dangerous to sink into alone for some, and so the spirits gave them dreammates to keep their souls safe when sleeping. Like ottercats holding onto one another as they floated at sea.
Not everyone had such gifts, and most people only had one or two people to share dreams with. In their village, it was customary that if two children were dreammates that their parents put them down for naps together like family. After all, if the tides of dreams were dangerous, why let anyone go alone who didn’t have to?
Though, Sokka and Katara were never alone when they slept.
There were others who joined their dreams sometimes, three girls and another boy.
But the one boy was always, always, there.
And he never seemed to get any older.
