Summary
Shen Wei doesn’t even get three words in when his excitable student blurts, “We want you to be our club advisor, Professor Shen.”
“I see,” he says, setting the proposal down. The two students before him are new and eager, having entered the university after the war. Shen Wei does not need his powers to know they are Dixingren—there is a new freedom now, one where some of the younger minds have not been cautious about hiding their abilities now that their existence is known. Shen Wei, for one, is not sure how to feel about it.
The overeager student, Hu Xiang, continues: “We know you are only just coming back from a leave of absence, and we don’t want to bother you, but we believe you would be the best to ask. The, ah—most tolerant.”
Shen Wei’s ears perk at that, curious.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Shen Wei has managed to keep his identity as the Envoy largely a secret. This is challenged when his students ask him to be the Dixingren Student Club advisor.

Summary
Shen Wei wakes up after ten thousand years and is decidedly not happy with the state he finds Dixing in. He's angry, he's grieving for what he's lost and he feels responsible for everything that went wrong when he was buried underground.
While searching for the stolen hallows, he sees a face he thought he'd never see again
***
A canon divergence AU in which Shen Wei is very unhappy with the state of Dixing and with its relations with Haixing after waking up, does a little coup d'etat, and consequently assumes a more political role, which leaves him with no time for pursuing an academic careerBookmarked by neathe
