Summary
With each sharp exhale, warm huffs escaped Yoo Joonghyuk's lips. His legs were giving their all as he sprinted after a man who had his back facing him. He wore an identical coat to his own with just a color difference. It was always like this. He was always chasing the same individual, only to be left behind.
There was nothing he could see below him that served as solid ground, yet he was able to run. Outer space had engulfed the area around him like a cold embrace; the stars seemed to mock Yoo Joonghyuk's futile attempt because, in truth, he wasn't closing any distance between him and the man who was walking away from him. The end of that damn white coat continued to flow as if there was wind blowing.
…Maybe he was the reason for this never-ending feeling of disdain for the color.

Or: Yoo Joonghyuk experiences depression after the failed 1865th group regression and longs for Kim Dokja to return to him. Eventually, he succumbs to his suicidal thoughts and ends his life for good, unaware it would trigger another regression.

slow burn was immaculate. love the small details of kdj not being able to speak and yjh having to adjust. furthermore, i adore how kdj adjusted his own acts of affection towards yjh to being less aggressive and more gentle after each encounter. the anticipating of wondering when we’ll finally see kdj complete was so thrilling and dont get me starting on the anxiety building up in the beginning 😭 the imagery of the cave for the first time genuinely made me tweak tf out cuz wdym its 200+ meters deep and pitch black? either way, amazing read!!!
