Omni-Man, Nolan fucking Grayson, was standing outside of his building. He was wearing some tattered gray and white outfit, but even without his iconic red cape, Cecil knew the people here knew who exactly had just reappeared. The earth was cracked under his bare feet from his landing, and he was just staring out ahead at the building in front of him. Then he slowly got down on his knees and lifted his hands into the air.

“Nolan curled around him, not worried about bruising fragile human skin, or breaking delicate human bones. He pressed his cheek to the top of his head, his own silent tears soaking into his hair. He cradled the back of his son’s head, reminded of when he was an infant, small, delicate, about just as loud. Nolan had known to be careful enough not to break him back then.”
I’m crying, this is so beautiful I just cannot comprehend. Heartbreaking too like, I need to get back into writing what the freak. So much inspiration from a few fics!

Summary
Trevor's family neglecting to inform him what exactly is happening during a mission comes to a head when during what he thinks is a normal ghost hunt, he stumbles into the ghost...and they are human. They are human, and painfully young. Trevor's big brother instincts kick in and he talks the ghost down and empathizes with them, seeing similarities within the ghost and him that he wishes he didn't. Comforting them with what he think happens after death, all without realizing that his family is right there watching.

The truth weighs heavy on his shoulders and he can’t help but let it spill from his lips. “Oh Will, I was just starting to dream the silliest and softest of dreams.” He bites his lips. “I dreamt that we were hanging out at the arcade, playing dig dug, and you were laughing.” He pauses to swallow a cry. “You were laughing, and it was possibly, no it WAS, the most beautiful sound I ever heard.” He can feel his body weaken as he speaks. “I… you should know that I died slow Will. I fell slowly, I wasn’t always sick. I’m sorry.” he breaks, crying. “I’m sorry.” He shakes his head. “Will, you were like magic, you know? You casted a spell on me Will the wise, and I didn't even notice until it was too late. This feels more like a curse, divine revenge for being such a dick. “He sniffles. “Ironic isn't it?” Mike lets out a dry laugh.” I’m usually the one who casts divine smite.” He laughs again, sounding more pathetic. “I’m such a nerd.”
