“So, um, Mister…?” He trailed off, unsure of what to call the man.
“Micheal. Mike for short.” Mike finished.
“Ah yes, alright then… Mike, I’m William, Will for short.” He decided to wait a couple seconds before speaking again. It felt too pushy to ask directly again, and Will didn’t want to seem unwelcoming.
The silence stretched for many an awkward minute before Will spoke again.
“What were you traveling for? It seems interesting that you crossed this building in your path, as we’re so far away from the rest of town.” Will pried suspiciously, he was not taking any chances of Micheal being a deranged killer or anything of the sort. Something about Mike gave him the chills, there was no doubt about it. Whether it was his eerie appearance or the ghost of sin, Will would never know.
“I was just looking for a place to eat. I’ve heard there are some very good restaurants in the area. I am quite hungry, you know.” Mike replied smoothly. It was too smooth for Will's liking, there were no restaurants within a 30 mile radius of here.

There’s something wrong with Will.
It started three weeks ago, almost four. Will had woken from some sort of nightmare and, instead of seeking comfort in Mike the way he usually would, he’d rolled out a sleeping bag from the closet and chosen to sleep on the floor.
No one believes Mike, except for Joyce. But even she doesn’t understand the full extent to which something is wrong with Will.
Mike understands, though. Mike has been paying attention.
