Betelgeuse is a lonely outlaw with a loud name and nowhere to belong, drifting between towns that only know him from wanted posters, which always captures his face ridiculously wrong.
One night, he wanders into a low-lit pub, dust on his coat and trouble trailing behind him, where he first see her in a dim, smoky atmosphere of the pub and is immediately struck by her calm, her sharp eyes, the way she feels more dangerous than anyone else in the room.
