Summary
Bishop’s daughter has been on the run for the past several years hiding in the city and trying to live a normal civilian life. After meeting the turtles, however, she has found herself unexpectedly accepted amongst a group of people she was taught to see as less than human.
But she can only hide from her estranged father for so long.
When Bishop discovers that she is alive and befriended a group of mutants, he is determined to reclaim his protege.
After years of lying and running from her past, consequences arrive as old traumas and long-bottled emotions resurface. Everyone has different reactions to this new development, and frictions abound within the family. Trust must be rebuilt and relationships reforged if she wants to remain with the those she has come to see as her new family.
A story about confronting one’s past, parental estrangement, and finding safety and belonging in the most unlikely of places.

He tensed, keeping his eyes straight in front of himself.
“They can’t be older than three or four years old.” The purple one studied.
“But their scars…” The orange one noticed.
One of their large stubby hands went for him and he flinched.

When Bishop creates a specimen to take care of the turtles but doesn't bother to age him artificially, the turtles end up with a new child on their hands. A very, very damaged mutant turtle child who's terrified of everything and everyone...
