Summary
“You’re bleeding.”
Andrew whipped around, staggering backwards, eyes locking onto intense blue. The kid - boy - from last night was staring at him, wide, curious eyes covered by a mop of auburn curls that seemed ablaze in the sunlight. He was hovering behind the car, holding onto a lacrosse ball. Gauze was tapped to his right cheek and right knee, and Andrew could make out about a dozen other faded scars dotted along his tan skin. Andrew hadn’t heard him coming at all.
“Who are you?”With each year that passes since the day he met Neil Josten, Andrew is more and more confident that the trajectory of his life was irrevocably changed for the better.

Summary
A very dark story about Raven Neil. How he was conditioned as a child, but part of him always rebelled against it.
Some things unfold differently than in canon.
In this version, Neil is THE best striker, and Riko hates him for it.
Side notes: In my story, Riko is not the main villain. He is a minor wannabe antagonist, a cheap imitation of the kind Nathaniel grew up with. But still gruel
Also, Andrew is not medicated and the relationship with Aaron is better than in canon. Not warm, God no - we’re talking about the Minyards - but tolerable.
******
His father would have given him away for free if pride had allowed it. But the Moriyamas valued transactions, contracts. Business. Everything had a prince.
Even children.
"Five hundred thousand dollars."
Nathaniel heard the number one evening from the staircase.
His mother said nothing.
His father accepted.

Summary
Neil Josten jamais deveria ter cedido;

Summary
Nathaniel Wesninski was eight years old when his father sold him to the Moriyamas.
At the Nest, he learns quickly what survival really costs: obedience, silence, and the careful art of not breaking where anyone can see. Tetsuji’s attention is suffocating, Riko’s promises rot into something sharp and cruel, and the only thing Nathaniel is allowed to keep is the quiet certainty that none of this is love. Even when part of him still wants to believe it is.
Years later, one broken hand and one brutal night are enough to push everything past the point of return. Nathaniel gets Kevin and Jean out.
Nathaniel stays behind.
By the time he finally crawls his way to Palmetto State, he is more scar tissue than person, terrified of hands, of men, of kindness most of all.
The Foxes think they’re getting a quiet striker with a bad attitude. What they get instead is someone who was never meant to survive the Nest. And did anyway.
But the past doesn’t let go easily.
And Nathaniel has never learned how to be loved without bleeding for it first.Bookmarked by noliisp

Summary
His skin still felt tight. The interaction with the runner, with Neil, had left a lingering, jittery friction under his fingernails. Andrew hated variables, and he hated being perceived. His mind was firing too fast, cataloging the scars, the fake eyes, the ginger roots. He needed something to dull the noise.
Or
A sort of meet-cute, which is not at all cute.
