Summary
Senior year at Nevermore is supposed to be about surviving classes, making it to graduation, and not getting killed by whatever monster comes next. Instead, it becomes the year Wednesday Addams and Enid Sinclair finally stop pretending they are “just roommates”.
What begins with tension, curiosity, and the slow pull of wanting turns into first love, complete with all its growing pains, and the terrifying realization that loving each other was never going to be simple. Summary
Enid turned the shower as hot as it would go, a habit she'd indulged in since childhood. She liked the way the heat opened her lungs and stung against her skin, it made the world outside the steam feel manageably distant. She let the water run over her shoulders and looked at the wall, but her thoughts lingered on Wednesday with an increasingly inconvenient frequency. She had been reframing it, artfully, for a year; telling herself it was concern, or proximity, or the trauma bond you develop with someone after prolonged repeated crisis. She had believed herself, mostly, but the ache in her chest contradicted the truth she’d been holding self-evident. She tried to manage the intractable fact that Wednesday had said “my feelings for you are not unromantic.”, but she had felt the world reorganize itself around those words. She stood beneath the spray of scalding water, palms pressed flat against the black tile of Wednesday’s shower. The bathroom smelled faintly like the sharp bite of Wednesday herself. That somehow made the ache in her chest worse.

Summary
Her hands moved with a primal urgency she no longer recognized as human. They dug into the firm flesh of Wednesday’s thighs above the water, dragging her closer until the fit of their bodies was as painful as it was perfect. Wednesday responded in kind, her lips tracing a path from Enid's chin to the crook of her neck. She sought the untouched skin above the jugular, leaving heavy, wet kisses that forced Enid to arch her back in an ecstasy so violent it felt as if the werewolf’s heart might burst from her chest just to surrender itself.

Or...
Enid is a bastard orphan hopelessly in love with a princess who hates her. Or at least, that’s what she’s led herself to believe.
