“So, remind me why I’m here again?” Sua grumbles.
“Because you’re the best cousin in the world, obviously,” Ivan singsongs, far too giddy at the prospect of checking off this particular item on his bucket list. It had taken the better part of the last month and a rather hefty bribe to convince her to do this for him, but it was going to be so worth the cost.
What was “this,” one might ask? Well… Ivan was planning on popping out of one of the closets in IKEA whilst shouting “For Narnia!” and he needed someone to record it for him.

The touches at Ivan’s waist become more blatant; he’s openly feeling him up now, hand curved around the small of Ivan’s back. During one of those times he leans up to murmur into Ivan’s ear, “All that talk about my waist being ‘deliciously grabbable,’ but you’re not so bad yourself.”
Ivan makes a— noise, from the back of his throat. Till wonders what it would take to pull more of those noises out of him. He resolutely ignores how his own face grows warm at the sound.

He’s the weird emo loner at school, occasionally gets picked on, and constantly daydreaming in class because there’s a new song floating through his head. He’s trying to start his own band, but, well, there weren’t many people interested in this to begin with, let alone passionate enough to actually do something about it.

Ivan is a terrible seatmate, no matter what anyone else says. Till refuses to believe that this girl is capable of being a decent, respectable stand partner when this is the third time she’s “accidentally” poked Till with her bow. And they're not even actual stand partners!
“What,” Till hisses under her breath. Ivan just smiles that terrible, good-for-nothing, cute shit-eating grin at her.

Then Ivan grabs his arm, and Till is whirled around, forced to look him in the eye. Blazing, blazing, always in motion, always looking—for what? For him?
“You’ve done this before,” Ivan says firmly. “You keep running.”
Till’s breath hitches. “I know that,” he says, and he sounds resigned, even to himself, like he’s surrendering. “But you keep going after me. And that is just as worse.”

Ivan stills, his brow raised and a fleeting glint in his eyes. “What, you like her or something?”
“No,” he replies, honestly. His voice has turned soft. “But she's pretty. I like drawing her.”
Ivan blinks, but he doesn’t press the matter. He could definitely spot the weird look Till must have had on when he asked the question, but he thankfully decides not to probe.
“I’m pretty too,” he says, “so draw me after.”
Till raises a brow. “You?”
Ivan grins. “Yes. Me.”

"Hyung?" Ivan asks, head tilted. His eyes are deep and knowing.
Till presses down on the button in front of him without dropping Ivan's eyes.
"Wanna go get a drink?" Till asks.
The mic clicks off.
In the ensuing silence, Ivan's face does something that sends a trickle of fear down Till's spine. Till shivers. Ivan’s smile spreads crookedly across his features, like it's been cut into his face with shears.
"Yes," Ivan says, "I would like that very much."
